Article 646 (Legal Effects of Facts Known to Agents)
If an insurance contract has been concluded through an agent, the principal is deemed to have been aware of the facts which the agent knew.

Attorney's Notes] Insurance agents are usually the people that directly contact and interact with customers. An insurance agent is deemed to have power of attorney in respect of concluding a contract or its renewal, termination, receiving insurance premiums, and so on relating to the insurance agreement. The powers of the insurance agent are listed in Article 646-2 of Commercial Act.
